2024年、タイ・チェンマイでのアーティスト・イン・レジデンスに参加した。

チェンマイでの滞在制作は高熱で寝込むことから始まった。今回の作品は回復、あるいは組み直されていく身体の記録である。与えられた部屋の目の前にはたくさんのハーブが育つ庭が広がっていた。5日間の高熱を経て回復に向かう中、弱っている身体で庭を歩き、本能的に惹かれた庭の植物を採取し続けた。それは視覚、触覚、嗅覚などの感覚を通じて、チェンマイの自然が分解された身体に組み込まれていく体験であった。

In 2024, I participated in an artist residency in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

My stay began with several days of high fever during which I was unable to leave my bed. This work is a record of a body that was gradually recovering and being reassembled. In front of my room there was a garden filled with many kinds of herbs. As my condition slowly improved after five days of fever, I walked through the garden with my weakened body and continued to collect the plants I was instinctively drawn to. Through sight, touch, and smell, it felt as if the nature of Chiang Mai was being absorbed into my body as it was being rebuilt.
